Lament to the  Bees, 2014:

Picture
Lament to the  Bees was an improvisational performance with micro radio-transmitter, drums, voice, and looping pedal inspired by a multi-cultural tradition of telling the bees about a family member’s death discussed in Hilda M. Ransome's book The Sacred Bee in Ancient Times and Folklore. I performed the piece live as part of a radio party, where a rotating cast performers and audience took turns
broadcasting from a living room to listeners who gathered around radio receivers in the yard. This performance was a precursor to my video installation Telling the Bees
