A Way of Life, 9:35 min, 2018

Andy Ellingsen has lived on Cortes Island for most of his life and has a deep and complex relationship with the land. This audio portrait explores Andy's sense of place and interdependence with the forests and people of his home. This piece was produced as part of the Story from Hear Collective's place-based audio storytelling residency at Hollyhock on Cortes Island, B.C. in August 2018. It was produced with generous support from the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission and the American Society for Acoustic Ecology and was broadcast on CKTZ FM, Cortes Island British Columbia in April 2019.
