A personal look at birth options in states where midwifery is illegal, this documentary explores my own birth, the story of a young mother in Southern Illinois, and the activism emerging in the region around empowered birth. Fear Tactics  screened at Southern Illinois University in 2012 and 2013. It was part of Holistic Birth Options, a alternative birthing choices, and it was presented at the Women, Gender, and Sexualities conference at SIU. Research for the film was presented at Celebrate Women Conference at SIU in 2013.
