Honna Veerkamp is a community-oriented artist, documentarian, and educator whose specialties include radio, sound art, experimental video, painting, and installation. She is particularly interested in the overlaps of these genres. Honna is committed to social justice; her work celebrates creative resistance and helps tell stories that are not widely heard.
Honna earned a Media Arts MFA at Southern Illinois University in 2015, and has taught audio, video, and writing in university and community settings.
Honna is interested in artistic collaborations and is available for freelance work including tape syncs, audio and video recording and editing, media production, web design, writing and copy editing, teaching, and consulting. Please contact her with inquiries or proposals.
